Mahi Chafik
1952 Born in Casablanca. Morocco.
Education:
1972-1975: Studied painting and ceramic at the fine art school. Casablanca.
1975-1978 : Studied monumental painting and Art History. At the Royal Academy of Fine Art, Liege. Belgium.
1979-19801 Civil service in Agadir as teacher of fine art.
Since 1983 he was established in Marrakech as designer, sculptor and painter.

Mahi worked many techniques of painting and has developed his personal way of expression.
The Abstract painting of Mahi is inspirited from graffiti of the children, primitive graphics, and also automatic writing. He uses earth colours.
He organised and participated to many exhibitions in Belgium, France and Morocco.
His works belongs to the private collections in Morocco, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, UK and USA.
